Blowdry your way to better hair with the Panasonic Nanoe

Written By Jenny Wu on

Despite being Asian, I’ve never had the typical straight + shiny locks. Instead my hair is wavy and very much prone to frizziness (I blame my mom for this), and after years of coloring + straightening + heat tools, my hair needed a lot of TLC. What I didn’t expect was for the love to come in the form of a hair dryerthe Panasonic Nanoe

I’ve always avoided hair dryers because they really dry my hair out. But the Panasonic Nanoe actually takes the moisture from your wet hair and in the air and uses it to create tiny, moisture-rich particles that can penetrate the hair shafts, creating shinier and smoother hair. My hair needs all the moisture and shine it can get, so I was immediately sold.

In addition to its nanoe technology, the dryer comes with 3 heat settings, 3 speed settings, and 3 different nozzles. The heat + speed settings seem pretty standard in most hair dryers, but the nozzle variety was definitely a plus! You get:

  • a set nozzle – great for styling your hair, aka the fancy blowdry they do in salons
  • a diffuser – evenly distributes air and is often used for styling + drying curls
  • a quick-dry nozzle – alternates between strong and soft airflows which result in faster and more uniform drying

The nanoe experience

Some people complain that this dryer is too heavy/bulky, which may be true if you’re used to using tiny dryers (think hotel ones). But even then, I don’t think it’s bigger/heavier than any normal dryers I’ve seen or used.

When you turn on the dryer, you’ll see a blue light on it that indicates the nanoe technology has been activated. If you place your finger close to the hole above the nozzle, you can actually feel a stream of cool air coming out. This is the good stuff, aka nanoe, and what literally makes this dryer so incredible.

The drying process was pretty fast, though I can’t tell if it’s because I don’t have much hair or if the quick-dry nozzle is doing its job. But the end result blew me away (harhar). I could not believe how soft and shiny my hair was! Seriously, I can’t remember the last time my hair looked and felt this good. WHAT IS THIS MAGIC!

But you know what the most incredible part of this dryer is? The more you use it, the better your hair actually gets. I kid you not, my hair has literally gone up 10 levels in terms of softness and problem 100 in terms of shine. I can’t think of the last time I used a heavy-duty hair mask, yet my hair is the best it’s ever been in years. Can I get a hallelujah up in here?
